KALDOR BRAND STRATEGY + DESIGN OPENS DOORS TO TORONTO OFFICE
Vancouver, October 30, 2006—Vancouver’s leading independent brand strategy and design firm is expanding its operations into Eastern Canada.
Kaldor Brand Strategy + Design is opening the doors of its Toronto office, an addition that is expected to build on the strategic and creative expertise of its Vancouver base. Kaldor’s Toronto office will be managed by Gary Blakeley, a prominent designer and design educator.
“Kaldor has grown at an exponential rate this year and we’ve been keen to offer our talents to clients east of Vancouver,” said Sally Douglas, principal of Kaldor. “I am confident Gary’s experience and breadth of design knowledge will assist Kaldor with building a solid client base in Toronto.”
Hired to develop Kaldor’s client base in Toronto’s ultra-competitive, communications design market, Blakeley will use his outstanding business savvy and reputation as a design expert to maximize Kaldor’s national visibility. By increasing its physical presence in Canada’s business epicentre, Kaldor will be able to more effectively service the needs of clients across the country who want to push their business potential to the limits with arresting communications that combine business strategy and exceptional creative execution.
Blakeley brings over 20 years of practical experience as a designer for the arts, publishing, government and business across Canada, Australia and England. He has served as principal of Blakeley Design, a leading design studio, and was senior designer at Pronk & Associates, one of North America’s premier educational publishing specialists. In Canada, he has worked with such diverse clients as Amnesty International, Douglas & McIntyre, the Vancouver Art Gallery and UBC Press. In the U.K., his clients have included the BBC, British Rail, the Imperial War Museum and London Transport.
